GUEST lecturers for the Great Issues Course during the month of January will include the Hon. A. S. Mike Mon- roney, U. S. Congressman from Oklahoma; the Hon. Amos N. Blandin 'lB, Associate Justice of the New Hampshire State Su- preme Court; and Henry Steele Com- mager, Professor of History at Columbia University.
As lecturers for the section of the course dealing with "Freedom for the Good So- ciety," Congressman Monroney will speak January 9 on "Effective Federal Govern- ment in a Free Society"; Justice Blandin will speak January 12 on "Judicial Pro- tection of Freedom"; and Professor Com- mager will lecture January 16 on "The Outlook for Freedom." Professor Dayton D. MclCean of the Dartmouth government department will also be a January lecturer, speaking on "Pressure Groups in a Free Society."
The third section of the Great Issues Course will deal with "Peace for the Free Society" and will begin with the second semester. The first speaker, on February 6, will be George F. Kennan of the U. S. Department of State, whose subject is "Basic Factors in American Foreign Policy."
