Sophomores act very superior. They go about yelling "54 Out!" in scuffed white bucks, sneering to themselves over the spotless quality of freshman white shoes just purchased at the Co-op or Campion's. They make sure that freshmen have plenty of odd jobs to keep them busy. The story is told of one sophomore who filled a large trunk with cast-off books and had it car- lied back and forth between Tuck School and Topliff eleven times in one afternoon, and then, tiring of this sport, sold the whole thing for seventeen-fifty.
