The annual Hanover Holiday program of the Chicago Association was held January 28 with talks by Tuss McLaughry at a noon luncheon, Prof. C. N. Allen '24 on Problems of Adolescence and Prof Wing-Tsit Chan on Political and International Affairs in China and Formosa with some predictions for the future.

President Dickey gave a newsy account of events at the College and also talked about the purpose of the College and of liberal education generally. Bill Knight, Bill KnightJr. and Karl Williams came in from Rockford for the events.

Officers for the coming year were announced as follows: Connor B. Shaw Jr. '43 President; Ralph Hinners '22, Vice-President; Sydney G. Craig Jr. '49 Treasurer; and Robert T. Drake '29, Secretary.

The annual Class Agents dinner was held on March 31 with George Colton '35, Executive Secretary of the Alumni Fund Committee, and Charlie Zimmerman '23, Chairman of the Committee, as speakers.

Ed Varley '30 is recovering from an illness at the Community Hospital in Geneva.

Sidney C. Hayward, '26 Secretary of the College, will attend the Monday luncheon on April 3. A meeting will be held April 2 at the Winnetka Community House for applicants to enter college in September 1950, their fathers, undergraduates and alumni. Movies of Hanover will be shown.

A selection of nominees will be made shortly for the Chicago Scholarship which will be open this year. After a recommendation is made by officers, the College will make the final selection.
