THE ALUMNI MAGAZINE'S annual Undergraduate Issue, presented this month, features again the writing and artistic skills of Dartmouth students. The front section is largely their work; other contents there are devoted to undergraduate activities and attitudes.

The lead article on WDBS, "the Dartmouth College Station," has been written by Dick Hollands '50, a '27 son from Hornell, N. Y. As co-manager of the station this past year, he helped direct WDBS to its best year thus far; his story, beginning on Page 11, tells something of that year as well as of the station's 9-year struggle toward success.

Pete Martin '51 of Wynnewood, Pa., whose father's by-line is familiar to Saturday Evening Post readers, is a chip off the paternal block. In light mood, befitting spring, he describes that old Dartmouth tradition, TheWeekender (Page 20). Sketches are by Warren G. Pfaff '51 of Great Neck, N. Y., whose work has enlivened The Undergraduate Chair this year.

Our Undergraduate Editor, Bill Mulligan '50, contributes a poem (Page 17) instead of his regular section this time; and Gary Earle '50 of Great Neck, N. Y., has done a photographic spread on Self-Help (Pages 18-19), showing how students earn money toward their college expenses. Some student etchings and woodcuts, done in the graphic arts workshop in Baker Library, appear on Page 21.

Just before spring vacation the MAGAZINE conducted a senior-class survey on job prospects and post-graduate plans. The results will be found in the article, What's Ahead for1950?, beginning on Page 15.
