Dr. Vernon Dies
Another summer loss among the emeritus members of the Dartmouth faculty occurred in the sudden death of Dr. Ambrose White Vernon, Professor Emeritus of Biography, on August 23. Dr. Vernon, 80, resigned his active teaching position in 1932 and had since made his home in Hanover. A memorial article will appear next month.
