IMPORTANT NOTICE—1951 Commencement will occur Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 15, 16 and 17, and it is during that period when we shall assemble for our annual reunion. Make a note in your yearly engagement book as well as a mental one that will serve in completing our plans for you. It may be reasonably expected that we shall again occupy South Massachusetts. Definite directions for reservations will be in the March MAGAZINE.

The New Year Season emphasizes the widespread influence of our class group across this country and overflowing its boundaries. Cordial messages, inquiries about future class plans and a real interest in the '04 family are represented here by Mary Willis, Florence Jackson, Margaretta Brewer, the Kirkers, Bartletts, Charrons, Mowers, Johnsons, Moultons, Hinmans, Walkers, Brotherhoods, Rollinses, Russells, Perkinses, Streeters, Websters, Blanchards, Woods, Tubbs, Maynards, Edgerlys, Robinsons, Hardys, Manguerians, Fiske, Bullock, and Fling.

The newest thing in the Class—in early December, that is—was a moustache a la Rolfe on the upper lip of one Rollins, left there because of the irritating winds on the Newport Golf Course about Thanksgiving time. It was really a shaving aid as it left part of the course in the rough. "The years have taught me that a Southern clime is the cure and that is very hard to take," says, Sid, but he will take it this year at Sarasota.

Ned Bartlett with his Hooker Co. alerted their directors to the importance of holding their October meeting at the Seattle plant which was built in 1929. This plant has already reached an output of 20 times the original estimated production and had not enjoyed a directors' meeting before. Result: attendance 100% of the seven-man board, dedication of a new plant hospital, inspection of new additions representing an investment of several millions with more enlargement in the immediate future. The week beginning October 29 was spent in combined business and vacation enjoyment. We might suggest this type of business management to the Haberdashers Guild.

Dr. Manguerian, who pleased us at last June's reunion by his wonderful recovery from a vicious accident, now challenges a new profession. His holiday greetings were beautifully expressed by a painting of the Dartmouth Tower and the stump of the Old Pine, in oils on a native pine plank. Sharp-pointed firs and spruces now reach above the Tower and the small grass plot around the stump recalls the breaking of our pipes and the general nostalgia at having reached the end of our years at Dartmouth.

Matt Bullock is again at Haiti; he flew down in early December with stops in Cleveland, Charlotte, Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, Camaguey (Cuba) and Kingston and Montega Bay in Jamaica. Matt's address until April: c/o U.S. Embassy, Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
