Thanks no doubt to Glenn McCarthy and the Shamrock Hotel, our fair town is now getting its due recognition from the College on the hill. For the second time in three months, the Dartmouth Club of Houston has had the pleasure of a visit with a college official, George H. Colton '35 "swinging through" over the weekend on his tour of the Southwest. We realize we're a long way from the Hanover plain, and we appreciate the increasing interest the College is showing in us.

For George's visit, we scheduled our first annual Dartmouth Dinner, having been advised all the better clubs do that sort of thing. Some 28 showed up for dinner and bull session, President Cy Worth keeping business to a minimum. George's talk was in keeping with the tone of the evening, being chatty and informative, and 100 per cent Dartmouth.

Interested listeners included many old timers, and several new Texans: Dwight Edson '18, Steve Chase '25, Trevor Boyce '26, Ray Hyman '28, Wendell Phillips '28, Harlan Taylor '29, Cy Worth '29, Ellis Gilbert '30, Martin Zinn '31, Bob Goecke '34, John Hoyt '34, George Colton '35, Sumner Harris '36, Jock Grether '38, George Zeluff '38, George Adams '39, Kim Ayers '39, Ernest Bly '39, George Jacob '39, Jim Powers '39, John Cooper '40 John Stevens '40 George Murphy '41 Bob Garwick '4.2, Ben Page '42, Lennie Robinson '46, Wade Elliott '49, and Dan Schausten '50. Should any of you Yankees hit town on a first or third Tuesday, drop in on our luncheon at the Texas State. Temperature today, February 19, 70°.
