Our annual Smoker was held on February 16. Professor John C. Adams spoke on the challenging subject, "Is Peace with Russia Possible?" His talk was extremely interesting, although somewhat on the somber side.

At the January luncheon, Arthur H. Drew Jr. entertained the group with his demonstration of the Keeler Ploygraph, better known as a lie detector. He showed the various techniques used, as well as the many possibilities of its use in fields other than crime detection.

Donald O. Burke, Rhode Island scout for the Cincinnati Reds, spoke on baseball at the March luncheon. Those present got an inside look at baseball, and a prediction of things to come.
