Dartmouth teams dominated the Rhode Island scene. Saturday afternoon, February 27, at the Rhode Island Auditorium, the hockey team treated us to a seven to one win over Brown. Our boys completely outplayed Brown and lost a shutout in the final minute of play. The game was played before 1,500 spectators. After the hockey game, our president, Townes M. Harris Jr. '47 and Mrs. Harris served cocktails at their new residence to the members of the Executive Committee.

Our annual dinner has been tentatively scheduled for April 22 this year. We are fortunate to have as our speaker that evening Dean Thaddeus Seymour.

Now back to sports. Saturday night, March 5, the basketball team beat Brown at the Marvel Gymnasium, Providence, 87-74 before a crowd of about 1,000. The Bruins needed a victory to gain a deadlock for the runner-up spot with us, but they just couldn't cope with our fast-breaking, adept, and opportunistic team. This was our tenth victory against four defeats in Ivy League competition.
