Taking German Play to Canada
April 1951

Following a Hanover performance on April 21, Lessiing's five-act comedy Minnavon Barnheim, in German, will be repeated in Canada by Germania, the undergraduate language club'. The Canadian performance will take place in Montreal, Tuesday, April 24, at 8:30 in the auditorium of Loyola College, Sherbrooke Street West.

The trip will mark the third time that a Germania production, under the direction of Prof. Stephan Schlossmacher, has been taken to Canada. In 1937 Schiller's Kabaleund Liebe (Intrigue and Love) and last year Goethe's Clavigo were presented in Moyes Hall at McGill University. Preceding the 1950 performance the Dartmouth players broadcast over the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation international service to Germany and Austria.
