Our April 7 meeting at the Colony Hotel, Delray Beach, which is owned and operated by George Boughton '28, was a gathering of Dartmouth men whose classes spanned the half century. Mr. and Mrs. Boughton handled all of the arrangements for our dinner and even went so far as to act as a supply base for some of our cruising members.
It has been the custom in the past to hold a January meeting and a late spring meeting, but this year, due to the fact that John Dickey was able to make a swing through the Southeast, the two meetings were combined and it was well worth while. Therefore the Club decided to hold the election of officers at this time. Our new officers are: Bennet K. Watts '26, president; G. B. Davidson '13, Charles T.Garnsey '20, George M. Broughton '28, vicepresidents; Leo F. Caproni '42, secretary- treasurer.
Our '50-'51 president, George Loehr, seemed to be everywhere, and had everything so well in hand to turn over his successor, BenWatts, that Ben had to make a speech—and believe me he made a good one.
Bob Pierce '25, who has so ably supported Dartmouth in this area and is responsible for the reactivation of the South Florida Club, is about to leave us. The Club hopes for his early return.
I wish that there were room for me to include the list of Dartmouth men who were at this meeting but since there is not, all that can be said is that anyone down here can find a classmate or a near classmate if he will get in touch with the Club secretary.
