The Dartmouth alumni of Pennsylvania State College held a celebration on Dartmouth Night, October 17. It was an outstanding occasion, marking the first time in present-day history that all five Dartmouth men (and their wives) could be located at once in State College. We ranged from the Class of 1910 to 1949. Those of us who are associated with Penn State College are Edward H. Dusham '10, Professor Emeritus of Entomology; Richard C. Maloney '26, Administrative Assistant, Office of the President; A. Bruce Sutherland '29, Professor of English Literature, just returned from a year in Australia as a Fulbright Scholar; Lt. Robert E. Crawford '45 USN, Assistant Professor of Naval Science; and Robert W. Belfit '49, Research Assistant, Petroleum Research Laboratory.

In addition to the good time, which was had by all, we enjoyed seeing a display of Dartmouth pictures, books, and other memorabilia. The main event on the program was the "unveiling" of a desk chair, in memory of the late Fred Lewis Pattee '88. The chair, which was used by Dr. Pattee in the Penn State Library, now named for him, has been refinished and marked with an appropriately inscribed silver nameplate. It is to have a place of honor in an office of the Penn State Department of English Literature.
