THE COLLEGE
February 1952

This is a period of preparation, symbolized by the scaffolding the D.O.C. has erected in the middle of the campus for its Winter Carnival snow statue. On second thought, that probably isn't a very good symbol for those getting ready for final exams; something more solid than a skeletal outline should have been built up through brain work at this late day in the semester. It's definitely a period of preparation, anyway, and the campus vibrates with the stepped-up tempo of special effort before big events. There's not much doubt about what is anticipated the most.
