Speaking of the cage, the golf team is perhaps more completely plagued by the perennially reluctant local spring than any other aggregation. Ever hopeful, Coach Tommy Keane took his boys south at spring vacation, where they managed to win two matches out of four for a very creditable showing. There are only two veterans this year to anchor the team, Captain Bob Stiles and Phil Fast, both juniors, who saw considerable action in last year's highly successful season. Sophomores Bill Rex and Skip Weymouth are two other leading contenders for the team, along with a number of veteran golfers who are new to the team. Among the latter are seniors Bob Griswold, Buzz Patton, Jack Boyle, and Bob Austin, and juniors Bob Douglas, Skip Carey, and Ward Hamm. If the boys can get some good weather, they ought to have another good season.
