Over 60 Wisconsin Dartmouth men and their ladies were present on Friday evening, March 14, for the annual meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Association. Coach Tuss McLaughry was our speaker from Hanover and he told us about activities on the campus, as well as giving us news of future football prospects.
At noon on the day of the dinner, the alumni arranged a press and radio luncheon at the Milwaukee Athletic Club in honor of Tuss, and it resulted in a lot of good publicity for Dartmouth in Wisconsin. Both of the Milwaukee papers and several radio stations carried feature stories and interviews, and Tuss Was interviewed on a television program. The principal subject for discussion was the "no spring practice" rule that Ivy League schools have adopted.
Some of the local alumni have questioned the validity of the election of new officers for the coming year. The usual railroading process took place so fast that many doubt whether there really was an election. We state that there was, however, and for the third month running, here's the slate: PresidentSteve Stotzer '36; Vice President—John Willetts '40; Secretary—Bill Trump '46; and Treasurer— Geores Hayssen '42.
Another reminder: every Monday noon at the Town Club in Milwaukee—luncheon meetings. Lately the political discussions have completely eclipsed hunting and skiing!
