At the time these notes are being prepared, there are a number of activities being organized for the Greater Boston alumni during the summer months. To date over 100 Greater Boston boys have been accepted for entrance next fall. Both the Charles River Club and the Boston Association are planning get-togethers to introduce these accepted applicants to one another and hopefully assure their intentions of entering Dartmouth. About 90 of these boys are being invited to a box-lunch gathering to precede the Dartmouth-Harvard double-header May 17 at Cambridge; then to the game.
June 3 brings Dartmouth Night at Pops, and August 2 is the date of the annual clambake, at the Thompson House in Marblehead, thanks to Mai McLean '32 and Dick Hill '41. Anyone who plans to be in or around Boston on these dates will be happily supplied further particulars.
Many of our members—too many to listen joyed a wonderful return to Hanover for the spring meeting of club and class officers. The only casualty reported to date was the loss by Ralph S. Bartlett '589 of a nice new English-made woolen gabardine top coat from the lobby coatrack in the Inn. In exchange he got a "Delano Boston" (no advertisement) gabardine coat with gloves in pocket. Your secretary will be glad to act act as go-between.
