On April 1, 134 class agents and assistant class agents gathered at Hampshire House tor the "kick-off dinner" of the annual Alumni Fund drive to get the inside information from Ken Henderson '16 and President Dickey concerning the College's needs. No doubt was left in the minds of those attending that not only must the goal of half a million dollars be met, but, to assure a balanced budget, our sights should be set on a figure considerably in excess of this amount.
Nick Sandoe '45 brought the group up to date on the present statistics, which indicate that the drive thus far is headed in the right direction; and if the trend can be maintained the College will be assured of its needs.
Two of our illustrious brothers were honored for their past efforts: Ken Henderson awarded Dick Bowlen '30 the Harvey P. Hood Trophy, and Add Winship '42 the John R. Mason Trophy.
A change in the Dartmouth Night at Pops has been necessitated by a shift in the orchestra's plans. Since it is scheduled for a European spring tour, home concerts must be delayed until its return. We have been fortunate, due to the efforts of John Williamson '42, to obtain the hall for the grand opening on June 3. More will be forthcoming on other events.
