OUR 60-YEAR REUNION brought together six of the remaining eleven members of the Class. Three of the six, with Dartmouth spirit that cannot be surpassed, were game enough to come notwithstanding serious physical (though not mental) infirmities. The kindness of Bob Allen of Sid Hayward's office and of Max Norton in providing accommodations on the first floor of North Massachusetts Hall was much appreciated.
After an informal session at headquarters Friday afternoon we went to Billaura, the Geiger home in Lyme, where twelve of us, including the ladies, partook of Laura's excellent dinner. From there we attended the reception of President and Mrs. Dickey so delightfully arranged in the beautiful garden setting.
Saturday morning after our pictures were taken by David Pierce, we held a Class meeting. Reports were submitted by the acting secretary and letters were read from HarryAllen of Henderson, Nevada, Mrs. E. F. Blood of Attleboro Falls, Mass., Rev. Harry Coombs of Jonesville, N. Y„ William B. Earl of Leominster, Mass., and Arthur Ilsley of Washington, D. C.
Consideration was given to a Bequest Resolution submitted by Ross Gamble. Judge Bert E. Holland was elected Secretary-Treasurer and William F. Geiger President and Class Agent.
At noon we attended the luncheon so excellently served by Miss Gill and her staff on the basement level of the gymnasium. Some of us, able to climb the stairs to the gym floor, enjoyed songs by the Glee Club and the addresses by Charles L. Hardy '27, president of the General Association of Alumni; Sid Hayward, who in his usual clear manner gave us pertinent information and announced 1902 as the winner of the cup for largest percentage of attendance; Robert D. Brace '52 for the Senior Class; Professor E. Bradlee Watson '02 and his witty and informative talk for the Fifty-Year Class; and President Dickey's excellent address with his special reference to the Dartmouth spirit.
Saturday afternoon was spent largely in sightseeing. Saturday night at 6:30 Miss Gill served us an excellent Class Dinner in a private room in Thayer Hall. Bob Allen kindly brought eight members of the Glee Club who entertained us delightfully at the beginning of the meal.
After informal talks, a few short stories, and expressions of regret at the absence of the rest of the Class, we adjourned early enough for those who wished to do so to attend the play and for the Sargents to start on the long drive back to Montpelier.
Those of the Class who have passed on since our last reunion are: Emerson, Michel, Randall, Rogers, Salinger and Strong.
Those present at this 60th were: Charles A. Clark, William F. Geiger and wife, Charles M. Lamprey and wife, Judge Bert E. Holland, Rev. James B. Sargent and daughters the Misses Alice, Rosamond and Mrs. Louise Donahue, and F. Irving Weston and daughter Elizabeth.
A 60TH REUNION GROUP: The Class of '92 was represented by six members at reunion. They are shown with family guests in front of Massachusetts Row.
