Atlanta cheered at its television sets 10,000 souls for Georgia Tech and about 50 for the Big Green. Graham Conklin '43 had a small cheering section gathered at his home with beer-wetted whistles that drowned out every Tech voice for fourteen blocks. And we might have won if it hadn't been for those rejects from Notre Dame. After the tussle a golf game ensued on the living room rug with a nineteenth hole out in the kitchen. A great time.
The weekend of November 6-7 will be a big one for Dartmouth in Atlanta. A Regional Conference, such as the one held in Denver last year, will be held here for the Southeast. Sid Hayward '26, Eddie Chamberlain '36 and Al Dickerson '3O will be down to start off a group of key alumni. The object: to achieve greater representation from the Southeast at Dartmouth. These key men will work with the secondary schools and their students. The business meetings will be held Friday and Saturday. However, Saturday night there will be an inexpensive buffet and dance at the Naval Air Station Officers' Club here. Those who come earlier can catch the football game between Tech and Glemson.
Reservations are to be sent to Ted Walter, Federal Reserve Bank, 104 Marietta St., N. W., Atlanta, for hotel rooms and dance. All Dartmouth men and femmes are invited. We're looking forward to seeing you all.
Regular alumni luncheons will continue on the last Thursday of each month at the Howard Johnson's in Atlanta until further notice.
