RECENT bequests to Dartmouth include a gift of 110,000 under the will of Mrs. Emma P. Haskell, mother of Phillips Haskell '14 who died in a World War I training camp in 1918. The gift will be used to establish the "Phillips Haskell '14 Scholarship," the income to be awarded annually to students requiring aid who are residents of Massachusetts.

Under the will of Frank M. Surrey '99, who was an educator, the College is to receive an outright bequest of approximately 110,000, to be used at the discretion of the Trustees of the College. Mr. Surrey's last position before retirement was Assistant Principal of Morris High School in New York City. During his retirement he lived in Middleborough, Mass.

Miss Isabel Paul of New fields, N. H. has left $20,000 to Dartmouth to establish the "Isabel Paul Scholarship Fund" specifying that the income shall be utilized to enable worthy students in need of assistance to obtain an education at Dartmouth College.
