Having successfully brought off its deemphasized Winter Carnival, the College settled down to the second semester on February 10. In some quarters this is referred to as the spring semester, but just at present those who use that term are more creatures of habit than realists. The duck boards are down, however, and with March close at hand, not to mention the patches of green grass and white buck shoes seen here and there, Dartmouth at present is in that transition period when it puts winter behind it and looks ahead hopefully to a north country spring. Before those joys are tasted, the College will have to take its annual dose of what our Undergraduate Editor of two years ago described as Schlump.
