Yep, by the time you read this, Reunion will be close at hand. Sure I know you know it, but just like the Navy, there is always somebody that doesn't get the word. We don't want anyone to miss out on these festivities due to any lack of information or urging on our part. It's not too late to change your mind if you are still on the fence, and just to show you there is something going on in Hanover here's a quick rundown of the pro gram for any unbelievers. Friday, June 19. signing in begins at 12:00 noon at the Class Dorm; informal gathering at the class tent at 5:30 with dinner served at the tent starting at 7:00. The President's Reception at 9:00 and the Alumni Dance at 10:00. And on Saturday, brunch starting at 10:00 at the class tent, class picture and class meeting at 11:30. Then comes 12:30 and Alumni Lunch in the Gym, gals too and the College picks up the tab. Important meetings start at 2:30 with a Strawberry Festival on Chase Field, and followed by a Barbecue at 6:30 on the same spot. Later on there will be informal activities in the class tent with a Player's Show at 9:30 for those so inclined. Sunday, a Memorial Service in the Bema at 10:00. In a large measure we have left out perhaps the most important feature, and that is the opportunity to meet with old friends again in the wonderful Hanover setting.

A note from Dick Jackson filled us in on some of the news from the gang around New York. Dave Smith is a lawyer in York and a prominent "Young Republican in the neighborhood of Greenwich, Conn. Understand he and his wife June even made the Inauguration Ball in January, so the boy must be plenty prominent. Bill Webster recently had an operation on his hip and seems to be better as a result. Bill, along with a couple of other lads, owns a firm making kids' T shirts and other types of knitwear. JerryBeatty is living out in Connecticut and Dick gets to see him occasionally. The Country Club in Brookline, Mass., is scheduled for a real working over on the weekend of May 23 with Endy Smith and Dick playing a memberguest tournament. The big leagues of golfdom are in for a big day.

Many of you who read the article in RedBook last year on Hank Conkle's Carolina Mountain Shop would be interested in the large number of letters Hank received. A total of 520 letters came in, mostly from people who were dissatisfied with their jobs and wanted to start a business of their own. As a result, Hank has made a number of talks at Rotary Clubs on the subject of starting and operating a small business. As this is written the Conkles are all at their winter home at Delrav Beach, Fla., but will start back to Cashiers, N. C., about May 1 and Hank, of course, will be with us for Reunion in June.

In the business world Bill Mason has recently moved to Springfield, Mass., where he becomes manager of all IBM sales and services in that territory. Bill has been with IBM since 1946 in the New York area, and has qualified six consecutive times in the IBM annual sales honor organization, the Hundred Percent Club. Bill Bradford has moved into the. New York area as District Sales Manager for the Worcester Moulded Plastics Co. This is one of the largest injection moulding outfits in the country and Bill has been production manager up until his recent move.

Up in Williamstown, Mass., Innkeeper John Treadway is busy attracting birds and running a hotel two activities which seldom go together but which are basically similar when you think of it. All day long scores of birds swarm around the grounds of the Williams Inn and during a year more than 100 species stop by to peck at the sunflower seeds and other delicacies put out for them. This is the result of many years of experimenting on John's part as to types of bushes and feeding stations that are best for attracting birds. Stop by at the Williams Inn sometime and see how it's done.

Word arrives that the Howard. Chivers in Hanover are the parents of a baby girl born March 10. The baby is named Sandra and is the second daughter for Howie and Jane.

Out in Helena, Mont., Dr. Bud Little was elected to the City Council Bill Martin a field representative for the Mental Hygiene Society of Maryland and living in Easton, Md. ... Orville Haverfield with the Intaglio Service Corp. in New York City.... Dr. AllenFreidlich living in Belmont. Mass.. .. Dr.Harry Allen living in West Hartford, Conn.

The blizzard of contributions to the Alumni Fund that have fallen into the grasping mitts of Jack Vincens will be about over as you read this, but time still remains for you to do your duty.

See you all at Reunion.
