At this writing the annual meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Georgia has not yet been held. However, a special called meeting was held at the home of President Lou Fortuna '38, where enthusiasm ran rampant on future plans, for enlistment, and enrollment were the major topics of coverage. Closer work with the educational councilors was emphasized and assignments to the various twenty-odd schools were accepted with open arms.

A Dartmouth-fine evening was spent recently by your scribe in Albany, Ga., where the major topic of discussion held forth at the home of Col. and Mrs. Dave Schilling '39, regarding the future Dartmouth careers of Dave Jr. and Duncan IV. We had hoped to round out the evening with the presence of Jim Gray '37, but business interfered. There is a strong possibility that Dave and family will be leaving the country for a three-year sojourn, returning with Dave Jr. all prepped up to start his Dartmouth career.

Don't like to get too personal in this column, but I just have to shout about a recent venture my wife Dorothy and I took. There was a dog show here in Atlanta, and we entered our Kerry Blue Terrier, Lady Cyn-Dee Maguffin ... Hoot, mon! The little gal made off with a first, a second and a reserve championship ribbon! What a shocking surprise!

TO NOTE: Ted Walter '46, keeping steady company with a Georgia beauty ... Dr. BenRead, '32, playing hookey for a long weekend starting Wednesday to do some fishin' (?)... Fred Eaton '41, walking on clouds, waiting with bated breath, to move into his beautiful new home ... Some six or eight new recruits for the Dartmouth Club of Georgia ... And, two grievous notes - the son of Lou Fortuna '38, stricken with polio, and the heart attack suffered by Alva Wilson '25.
