Mr. Broehl's book Trucks, Trouble andTriumph was selected as the 1554 business history book-dividend by the editors of the Business History Review. Published in November by Prentice-Hall, it's the story of the Norwalk Truck Line Company.

Also just published is a report on the use of photography by the Army, Navy and Air Force. Orton H. Hicks T'22, who served on the ten-man Film Survey Committee, wrote the section on "Film Distribution for the Services."

Mr. Frey has been appointed a member of the International Education Committee of the National Industrial Advertisers Association,

Dean Upgren has been named to the National Council of the National Planning Association. His recent activities include talks at the New England Credit Men's Conference October 28 in Boston and at the annual fall meeting of the Associated Industries of Vermont October 27 at Woodstock.

Dean Flill attended the Associated Industries meeting and the conference of deans of New England Schools of Business November 4 and 5 at the University of Connecticut. Speakers at the meeting included DeanThomas Norton T'24, of the City College of New York, who is president of the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business this year.

Dean Hill, Mr. Foster and David McLaughlin T'55, president of the Clearing House, attended a conference sponsored by International Business Machines Company October 15 and 16 at Endicott, New York. Dean Upgren, Dean Hill and Mr. Foster visited the Ford Foundation and the American Management Association November 9 in New York.

New officers of the Clearing House in addition to President David McLaughlin are: Charles Morrison T'55, Vice President; Paul Wilson T'55, Treasurer, and Clark Murphy T'55 ecretary.

Cap Palmer D' 23 has organized Parthenon Pictures to produce films for business and industry. Bert Oakley T'50 ports from Phoenix, Arizona, that he is "selling investments" for Lambuth & Company and "enjoying the beautiful town and superb climate." JimBroderick T'47 hardly got settled in New Haven as assistant manager of the Aetna Life office when he was moved to Bridgeport as manager. Lane Dwinell T'29 will be moving into the State House at Concord, N. H., soon - the first Tuck graduate to become a Governor - and he has our heartiest congratulations. Charles Abbe T'51 is now with the Connecticut General Life Insurance Company. David Fox T'37 is with Celanese Corporation of America in New York. The annual report of the Three States Natural Gas Company lists Harold S. Bowman T'48 as vice president for administration and Joseph P. Donahue Jr. T'48 as assistant secretary. James Bonnar T'52 is now with the National Shawmut bank in Boston. John H. Kelly T'52 is working for E. J. Longyear Company, a diamond-drilling firm, in Lowell, Arizona. John O. Zimmerman T'33 has been elected vice president and director of General Motors Acceptance Corporation. Orton H. Hicks Jr. T'50 has joined Encyclopedia Britannica Films Inc.. Wilmette, Illinois. Bob Moore D'51 has been transferred to the New Business Department of William Iselin & Co., Inc., New York City.
