DUCKBOARDS on the campus - corn snow — the first taste of 1954 maple syrup - a final schedule for the Glee Club trip - the revving up of the motor for the Alumni Fund campaign - travel ads in The Dartmouth - the stowing away of stormcoats and parkas and the emergence of those green reversible jackets that have become almost a Dartmouth uniform.
All these things have happened lately, and they add up to the approach of spring and the period of freshets when the white placards go up, warning all Dartmouth men to stay off the river. We have no word on how deep the frost is this year; but no matter, there's sure to be mud - good aromatic North Country mud that heralds the start of the final third of the college year.
