The Dartmouth Alumni Club of North Texas had an extremely successful visit by Vice President and Mrs. Justin Stanley ('33). Vice President Stanley succeeded in conquering the local golf courses, answering many questions of individual alumni and presenting an excellent summary of what is happening in Hanover in 1954 to the annual meeting. Mrs. Stanley contributed much charm to her husband's visit and had an opportunity to make a thorough inspection of Dallas' famed Neiman-Marcus.
Our regular monthly luncheon meeting on April 2 was attended by approximately twelve local alumni and the annual meeting held March 5 was attended by approximately 25 alumni.
At the annual meeting, the following slate of officers for the year 1954-1955. was elected: President, Douglas J. Miller Jr. '36; Vice President Theodore T. Redington Jr. '41; Vice President for Fort Worth, Chester A.Haltom '28; and Secretary-Treasurer, DavidW. Clarke '46.
In addition, Joseph P. Donahue '46 was appointed chairman of the program committee; William B. Heroy Jr. '37, chairman of the enrollment committee;-. Nathaniel R.Royall III '50, vice chairman of the enrollment committee and W. Douglas Riley Jr. '42, chairman of the interviewing committee.
The assembled Club agreed to make the monthly luncheon meetings a regular feature, these to be held the first Friday of each month at the Italian Village Restaurant at 12:30 P.M. Many plans were proposed for the forthcoming year and the new officers agreed to consider and work towards a more active local group.
