At the annual dinner of class and club officers in Hanover, May 1, F. William Andres '29 was honored as the Class Secretary of the Year and was presented with a Louis Orr etching of the College. Following is the citation read by Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College:

F. William Andres of the Class of 1929 is completing next month 25 years as a Dartmouth class secretary. Any way you look at it this is a long stretch - whether in terms of the hundreds of Alumni Magazine deadlines that he has met, the countless letters written to classmates in their times of joy or sorrow, or the dedicated service represented in two and one-half decades of devoted work for the College.

As a past president of the Secretaries Association, as its distinguished representative on the Alumni Council, and in other ways our blue-ribbon secretary has been honored for what he is, and for what he has done in the name of Dartmouth, and for its good name. But there can never be enough words of thanks said to one who so typifies, the service of a great many men to this institution.

We can only say, as he approaches the great climax of his 25th reunion, that we are mighty pleased and very proud to pay top honor to Dartmouth's Class Secretary of the Year, Bill Andres.

Sid Hayward "16 congratulates Bill Andres "29 (r), honored as Class Secretary of the Year.
