NELSON A. ROCKEFELLER '30, former Trustee of the College and Under-Secretary for the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, was elected president of the General Alumni Association at its annual meeting on June 19. Presided over by Horace F. Taylor Jr. '23, of Buffalo, N. Y., outgoing vice president, the meeting, which is one of the highlights of the alumni reunion weekend, included also the election of Perkins Bass '34 of Peterborough, N. H., and Clarence L. Wanamaker '15 of New York City as vice presidents for the year 1954-55. Sidney C. Hayward '26, Secretary of the College, was reelected secretary of the Association.

Richard M. Pearson 'so of New York City will serve for the coming year as chairman of the executive committee and hold ex-officio membership on the Alumni Council. Others who were elected to the executive committee are: Russell D. Meredith '10 of Troy, N. Y.; Philip K. Murdock '15, New York City; John J. Foley '34, Worcester, Mass.; Henry R. Bankart '35, New York City; Richard H. Morton '36, Wellesley, Mass.; and Samuel F. Cutler Jr. '45, Concord, Mass.

Harold M. Sherman Jr. '29, president of the General Alumni Association for 1953-54, was presiding officer at the Commencement meeting of the General Association, which was held on June 12. The two gatherings last month marked the 100th anniversary of the Association.
