Paul B. Urion '38 (r), of Rochester, N. H., secretary of the Dartmouth Club of the Seacoast Region, was named Club Secretary of the Year as Dartmouth club officers held their annual fall gathering in Hanover on November 8. Urion, shown with David E. Orr '57, Assistant Secretary of the College, was cited as follows:
The name Urion is as well known to Dartmouth men in the New Hampshire Seacoast Region as it is to the official College itself. For six generations there has been a Urion at Dartmouth, and though the history of the Dartmouth Club of the Seacoast covers only a small part of that span, you, sir, have been a faithful leader and superb organizer. From 1963-1965 you served as President, and since then you have held the important position of Secretary.
You are a firm believer in accurate records and you keep pace with the comings and goings of all alumni in the club area. You have established a telephone committee and this past year you became editor of a club newsletter.
In recognition of your work on behalf of the College you have been elected to the Alumni Council as a representative of Northern New England. And, like many other volunteer alumni, your club work is just part of a busy schedule. In your case, it includes an active law practice, church work, the Boy Scouts and other community services.
It is with pleasure and pride that we salute you on this occasion as Dartmouth Club Secretary of the Year.
