The Boston alumni are preparing for an active fall season, with various meetings, football game get-togethers, etc.
Specifically, there's the Brown game in Providence, October 8. We are cooperating with the Alumni Association of Rhode Island to try to bring some of the crowd from the Boston area to the only "Big Green" game being held in southeastern New England.
The Harvard game will be in Hanover, so the Rhode Island Association have very generously invited us to participate with them in pre-game and post-game activities in a tent which will be set up across the street from the Brown stadium. For fifty cents you will be served beer and soft drinks. Bring your own picnic lunch or eat a catered lunch on an a la carte basis.
Speaking of the Harvard game, we are running a special train to Hanover in conjunction with the Boston and Maine R.R. It will leave from Boston at 9:20 A.M. (daylight time), Winchester at 9:35, and Lowell at 9:58, arriving in Hanover at noon, or 1:00 P.M. daylight. We've talked the R.R. into leaving Hanover later than the usual time of 6:00, so now it will be 7:15 when the train leaves for the return trip.
Get your stubs sent in soon enough to assure you of getting your seats. See you in Providence, October 8, and Hanover, October 22!
