Publisher

Howard M. Booth '24, formerly General Manager, has been named the Publisher of The Worcester Telegram and The Evening Gazette, according to an announcement on September 24. He joined the newspapers in 1926 and worked in various departments of the organization, becoming General Manager in 1941.

Mr. Booth is one of Worcester's leading citizens and has given much of his time and energy to its civic and philanthropic activities. He is a trustee of Clark University and of Hahnemann Hospital; a director of the State Mutual Life Assurance Co. and two Worcester banks; a member of the Newcomen Society; a director of the Worcester Chamber of Commerce; and is active in many community organizations, including the Boy Scouts, Red Cross, YMCA and Community Chest.

Married to the former Barbara Allen, he and Mrs. Booth are the parents of three children.
