THIS streamlined July issue is devoted almost entirely to Commencement and the Reunion Week. The highlights of these June occasions are reviewed in separate articles, and we also print the full texts of the Commencement addresses, the honorary degree citations, and the traditional Fifty-Year Address.

We did not expect to be covering President Eisenhower in this issue, but the President made a luncheon stop at the Dartmouth Grant on June 25, during his swing through northern New England, and some photographs (Page 13) have been tucked in to record this historic visit to the College's wilderness outpost.

A briereport on the record-breaking 1955 AlumniFund appears on Page 15, and announcement of thecreation of the new administrative position of Provost of the College, with other staff changes, is on Page 29.
