Al Hall has proposed the publication of a class directory prior to reunion time. This proposal is receiving consideration now. You can do your part early by planning to make the BIG Hanover weekend we are planning. But don't come alone. Bring several of your best friends with you. Get in touch with them and maintain contact.
Bob and Margaret Price are the proud parents of Robert Edmunds Price Jr. They have been living in the vicinity of Boston, Mass., for the past year. Since March, they have been at 23 Alrick Road, Quincy 69, Mass. We enjoyed a fine evening with Hugh and Joan Chapin and Bill and Joan Wood, in Lexington, Mass., during June. Hugh has just become associated with Robert H. Smith & Co., 80 Federal St., Boston, as general manager of their office. Both the Chapins and Woods find Lexington a pleasant town.
Dick Mayers, a Glenn L. Martin Aviation Co. engineer, Baltimore, will join the Colby College faculty this fall as instructor in physics. Dick, an electronics system engineer, taught at Hood College, Frederick, Md., from 1947 to 1949 following his graduation from Dartmouth. He was a physicist with the U. S. Bureau of Standards from 1949 to 1950. Recalled to active duty in 1950 with the Naval Reserve, he headed the physics department at the U. S. Naval Academy Preparatory School at Annapolis from 1950 to 1954. Upon his discharge, he taught for a year at Tabor Academy, Marion, Mass.
Bert Rabinovitz continues with the Colonial Provision Co. as vice president. He has been in the meat-processing business with his father since his graduation from Dartmouth. Bob Ives was selected Jay-Cee of the Month for Danvers, Mass. in August. Bob has established an insurance agency in Danvers and has been extremely active in civic activities during the past two years.
Poncho Guilderson is the New Hampshire and Vermont sales representative for Ryerson Steel of New Jersey. He lives in Lebanon, N. H., is a member of the local Rotary Club. Sam Tassel continues his political activities in Lynn, Mass., where he has recently taken out nomination papers for the Democratic nomi- nation for State representative in the 12th District. Lem Moulton was admitted as fellow in the Society of Actuaries, highest classification in the industry-wide professional organization. He has been with Aetna Life Insurance Co. since 1948 when he received his A.M. from Columbia University.
Married in April were the former Miss Frances Saffir and Arnold Weber. Frances is a recent graduate of Mount Holyoke College. Miss Joan Marie Van Valkenburn and Ted Flatz Jr. were married August 18. Mrs. Platz is a 1954 graduate of Marymount College. Ted is presently with the Chase Manhattan Bank.
There have been several engagements announced during the past summer. Don Scholle and Margaret Fay Schantz were engaged in July. Don, you will remember, is owner-manager of Topnotch, a Stowe, Vt., ski lodge. George Carroll, Norwalk, Conn., attorney, was engaged in August to Julie Ann Hudgins. Julie is on the editorial stafF of Changing Times magazine in Washington. Chaplain John Schaeffer Jr. was engaged this past March to Carol Ann Parker of Wilmington, N. C. Carol is a secretary in the Wilmington Hospital. John is a graduate of Dartmouth College, Thayer School of Engineering, and Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, Calif. He is presently stationed at Bainbridge, Md.
