Boston alumni are looking forward to a busy season between activities sponsored by the several branch clubs, the Boston Association, football games, etc.

A new club is being formed, "The Dartmouth Club at Harvard." Sounds odd, doesn't it, but, thanks to the interest of Paul Paganucci and Jon Hall, we expect it to be in operation soon. These fellows, and others whom they have recruited, have things under way already. Any Dartmouth grad who hasn't been contacted can get details by calling these fellows in Cambridge at TRowbridge 6-2344.

The various branches, — Charles River, North Shore, South Shore, Melrose, Winchester, Cape Cod and more recently, Harvard, are getting things off to a flying start with dances, Hanover Holidays, etc. See the other columns for specifics. Our Pops concert was quite successful last spring, all of which helps build up the kitty for the Scholarship Fund.

The Dartmouth Indian Chiefs, composed of five '57s, one '56 and one '54, will play in a jazz concert at Boston's Symphony Hall on Friday, October 26, at 8:30 (night before Harvard) with Wilbur de Paris and his NEW New Orleans Jazz Band. Peter Bullis '54, manager, says he hopes he sees many alumni faces present.

Our new single dues payment plan is being inaugurated this fall and we hope everyone really gets behind President Dan Ruggles '21 to kick it off in grand style. It'll help us all a great deal, will cut down paper work and other costs and should help increase memberships we hope more active memberships in the branch clubs, where the great emphasis has been in these last few years.

New Dues System

In a move to eliminate dual solicitation of dues, the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Boston embarks on a new dues membership program, beginning with its next fiscal year in September 1956. At that time payment of the usual dues to the Boston Association automatically Includes membership also in any affiliated suburban Club designated by the member. A portion of the dues thus collected will be remitted to the local Club. The affiliated clubs are North Shore, Melrose, Winchester, Charles River, South Shore and Cape Cod.
