DURING the fall, fourteen representatives of the College attended academic ceremonies in this country and on one occasion abroad, when Her Majesty, the Queen Mother, was made Chancellor of the University of London.

On October 8, Howard P. Wile '32 attended the 100th anniversary of the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn; Leonard D. White '14, the inauguration of the Rev. Jerald C. Brauer as Dean of the Federated Theological Faculty, the University of Chicago, on October 10; William T. Middlebrook Jr. '43, the inauguration of Robert L. D. Davidson as President of Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa., on October 15; President Dickey and Sidney C. Hayward '26, the inauguration of Eugene M. Austin as President of Colby Junior College, New London, N. H., on October 19; Thomas C. Colt '26, the inauguration of John F. Cramer as first President of Portland (Ore.) State College, October 23; Francis H. Bird '09, the inau- guration of Walter C. Langsamas President of the University of Cincinnati on October 29; and Frank G. Fiedler '18, the inauguration of Millard G. Roberts as President of Parsons College, Fairfield, lowa, on October 29. President Dickey represented Dartmouth at the Installation of Barnaby Conrad Keeney as twelfth President of Brown University, October 31, in Providence.

On November 1 John V. Kelleher '39 represented Dartmouth at the academic convocation commemorating the opening of Blessed Edmund Campion Hall, the Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Memorial; Judge Frank McLaughlin 'go at the inauguration of Paul S. Bachman as fifth President of the University of Hawaii on November 9; George M. Robertson '25a, at the inauguration of Howard R. Bowen as seventh President of Grinnell (Iowa) College on November 13; Dean Arthur E. Jensen, at the inauguration of Hollis L. Caswell as President of Teachers College, Columbia University, New York City, on November 22; Martin L. Leich '32, at the inauguration of Melvin W. Hyde as President of Evansville (Ind.) College on November 22; and S. Dickson Moyse '24, the installation of the Queen Mother as Chancellor of the University of London, on November 23-24.
