Dartmouth Night was celebrated in Hanover Friday, November 13, with all of the traditional accompaniments, including the bonfire on the campus, the torchlight parade, and the visit to the President's house to cheer President and Mrs. Hopkins. At the discharge of a cannon and the ringing of the chapel bells, the students gathered about the Senior Fence at 7 P.M., taking the flaming torches and forming the parade in the order of classes, led by the band and Palaeopitus. The marching students made a circuit of the campus and then proceeded to the President's house and cheered the President and Mrs. Hopkins and Ann. President Hopkins spoke briefly from the steps in response. The marchers then returned to the campus and there, gathered about a large bonfire, gave a Wah Hoo Wah and sang Menof Dartmouth before dispersing.
President Hopkins received telegrams from groups of Dartmouth men gathered for the occasion in many different cities in the United States and abroad.
