Three other Dartmouth teams are in the news this month. The informal Dartmouth wrestling team, after dropping matches to Amherst and Coast Guard, came through with its first victory of the season by trouncing McGill 33-2. The Indian wrestlers face Boston University in their next match.
The Dartmouth Rifle Team coached by M/Sgt. William Kuhn, USMC, has been continuing in the winning traditions of recent years and currently boasts a record of 15 wins against only four defeats, which leaves them only one-half match behind the University of New Hampshire in the New England College Rifle League. Leading the Big Green marksmen is Captain Fred Engelbach with an average of 284 points out of goo in the matches to date. Robert Barry, Carl Kilker, Henry Ravenel and Ramon Rustia are senior team members with Robert Copeland and Randy Patterson from the junior class. A freshman rifle team has just been organized also.
The Dartmouth Rowing Club has also resumed action with training sessions in the gymnasium and road work designed to get crew members into top physical condition for the most extensive spring schedule in the history of the sport.
Robert R. Anderson of Minneapolis, Minn., is captain of the Dartmouth freshman hockey team. Anderson was co-captain of his high school hockey, baseball and football teams for two years running and is one of the top forwards on the '59 sextet this winter.
