Jake Crouthamel, Dartmouth's All-East halfback, has agreed to play football for the Dallas team of the National Football League. Crouthamel, who turned down invitations to play in the Copper Bowl and All-American Bowl, will not sign a contract until June, however, as he wants to be eligible to play rugby this spring.
Don Betterton, a veteran soccer player at outside right, was selected to the first All-Ivy Soccer Team while teammate Mitch Engle, captain and halfback, was voted a second-team berth.
Three Dartmouth football players were honored by Sports Illustrated by being selected to S.I.'s second All-Ivy Team of the Decade this past month. Named were Joe Palermo '58, captain and guard of the 1958 team, Al Krutsch '59, also cap tain and guard, and Jake Crouthamel '60.
