The varsity squash team has played only two matches since the last report, losing both. The Big Green lost to Army, 8-1, and was blanked by a strong Yale team, 9-0, both matches being played on the Hanover courts. Three matches and the Eastern Intercollegiates remain on the winter schedule.

The most recent encounter with Yale was highlighted by the return to action of veteran Butch Waid who had been ineligible during the first semester. Waid faced Bob Zimmerman, the Elis' number one player and the East's third-ranked collegiate star. He got off to a fine-start-by winning the first game 15-11, but dropped the next three games and match. Pete Buswell, in the eighth spot, was the only Dartmouth man to win two games, taking the second and third games from Charlie Bodkin before losing the final two. Third-ranked Tony Jenks lost three tight contests, 15-10, 15-12 and 15-10. The junior varsity and frosh squash teams also lost to Yale on the same day by identical 8-1 scores.
