Mary Louise Underhill Emerson, widow of our classmate Emerson, died at her home in Buffalo, N.Y., on December 20 last at the age of 96. Emerson and his wife were married on June 20, 1892, and lived in Buffalo until his death some years ago.
She is survived by three daughters, Eleanor, Marjorie and Mary Louise. Eleanor is associate professor of the N.Y. State School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University; Marjorie is office manager of the Children's Aid Society of Buffalo; and Mary Louise is volunteer worker of the Y.W.C.A. and Council of Churches of Buffalo; a former president of the Y.W.C.A. and a former vicepresident of the Council of Churches.
"Emmie" in his lifetime was district manager at Buffalo of the Standard Oil Company of New York.
Our classmate Newell who is now the oldest living graduate of the College, and who is now 96 years old, is said to be holding his own.
