The long-range aim of the development effort is to jsrovide funds for needed expansion of the physical plant and increased faculty salaries.

The first step in the twelve-year program is the launching this fall of a two-year capital gifts campaign. The organizational phase of the national leadership for this campaign is now being completed and announcement of the names of other leaders will be made in subsequent issues of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE.

Since October organized committees have been at work in a number of cities on the advance gift phases of the campaign, which will increase in scope in January and continue through next summer, when the general campaign will be launched.
