Well, fellows. I was finally able to track down the old rooster to steal one of his tail feathers for my old quill pen. even so managed to scrape the rust that had accrued on the nib... and we're back in business again after several months of dormancy on the Southern Front. Too late to blame my laxity 011 the elections and so forth, but I do have a singular legitimate excuse, in that I made a change back to my chosen field, the pharmaceutical industry, with Bristol Laboratories, and the change has involved heap much traveling and lots of organizational work.

Drifting 'way back to summer, say 011 Saturday. June 23. for instance ... Dartmouth joined forces with alumni of Cornell. Princeton. and Yale, strictly Ivy League style, and met for a humdingin' picnic-softball-combo, complete with wives and beer. Some of the events of that afternoon still ring out their refrains to points all over the city of Atlanta. ...September saw a fine party out at the Naval Air Station in Chamblee. Georgia, just previous to our men returning to Hanover, so they had something to carry back with them; and a good gathering it was October 19 marked the Dartmouth Night Celebration held at Warren Agry's '45 house ... the good president of the Dartmouth Club of Georgia opened his portals on Channing Drive in Atlanta, and alumni and wives drifted in merrily from early evening on; a whale of a good evening of fun and frolic to commemorate this very special night was confirmed by the terrific turnout, even to the mottled wales of some who wended wearily homeward at umpteen o'clock. During the course of all this, the following new slate was casually railroaded in for the year 1957: Warren Agry '45 - President; Alva Wilson '25 - Vice-President; Vail Haak '49 — Treasurer; Dune Dobie 3rd '38 - Secretary; and, Lou Fortuna '38 - Chairman of the Enrollment Committee.

On December 28 the annual Christmas luncheon was held at Mammy's Shanty here in Atlanta, and the turnout was excellent! President Agry gallantly gave a brief but pointed welcome speech to some 38 men, songs were sung between courses and motuhfuls, and a splendid set of slides and a movie were shown and thoroughly enjoyed by alumni, guests, and prospective Dartmouth men. The latter were officiated over by Norm Laird '48, at the controls, and none other than Lou Fortuna '38. giving the commentary. Honored guests included Mr. Floyd, honorary Dartmouth alumnus, and Coordinator between Secondary Schools and Colleges; Dr. Vernon Powell, father of senior Rom Powell '57, and Rom; Reverend Ray and son, Dick Ray '59: Bob Kahn and Ned Nabers '60, and their Dads; and, most honored future Dartmouth men —Tim Ray, Steve Trevors, Stuart Meyers, and Dan Parker. Briefs of the Hanover scene were presented by Rom Powell '57, from the senior's viewpoint and by Ned Nabers 'Go, from the freshman's.

Resumption of luncheon monthly meetings will be held at Hcrren's Restaurant, 84 Luckie Street, NW, Atlanta, on the first Monday of each month. Anybody near these environs on this day is welcome to join us, and if, on another day, we can surely stir up something for you as well! Give me a buzz when you hit town, okay?

Enthusiasm was unbounded at the annoucement of the coming of the Dartmouth Glee Club in Atlanta on March 29. Mention was made previously but the Christmas group got the whole scoop on the visit. Committees for this major event have already been selected and work is in progress to make it a "must" on everybody's social calendar.

TO NOTE: Glad to see Carl Evans '44, stirring after a seige recently on the operating table ... also, Dr. Vernon Powell, Honorary '38, and Dad of Rom Powell '57, who is rapidly recovering from illness during the past summer... and Bill Monaco '28, successfully recovering from the surgeon's knife and two cataract operations ... we'll be seeing you soon, Bill, and we're glad you're betterl
