As a public service to those of you who do a good deal of traveling in line of duty and to those of you who wonder what your classmates are doing in the line of service for Dartmouth, I yearly publish a list of '45s busy in alumni offices. The number may fluctuate from year to year but it is amazing to note that the same names appear time and again in one capacity or another. The name Stan Newton, for instance, must ring a loud bell. Stan not only has served well as Class Agent, but also is a permanent fixture as secretary of the Nashoba Dartmouth Club of Massachusetts. John Leggat is president of the Dartmouth Club of Lowell; Bob Ross, secretary of the Dartmouth Club of the Gold Coast (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.); "Jug" Agry serves as president of the Dartmouth Club of Georgia; and Bruce Symonds is the secretary of the Dartmouth Club of St. Louis. And there you are. Look these men up if you are in their vicinity.

At Lyme Center, N. H., site of the new Dartmouth Skiway, work is nearing completion on the Brundage Lodge. This building is the gift of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Brundage '16 in memory of their son and our classmate, Pete Brundage, killed at Okinawa during World War II. I think you might be interested in hearing something about it, for it will be a handsome lodge. Built in the chalet style, its first floor area measures 60 x 24. Exterior and interior walls are of cedar. At its south end the lodge will have a 22 x 24 observation room with floor to ceiling windows, looking out on the lower part of the ski area and the lift. The other end of the lodge is of two stories with the kitchen and snack bar on a split-level below the observation lounge. This part of the lodge is of two stories with the downstairs containing first aid room, toilets, ski room and office. A special feature of the lodge will be the large, circular fireplace, located in the middle of the building, which will be hooded and surrounded by built-in seats. An outside balcony will beckon on sunny days. The whole thing sounds wonderful to me and I'm looking forward to my first visit. It is indeed a fitting memorial to Pete.

Ralph Blackburn, it should be noted, has been appointed to the newly created position of Circulation Manager for Business Week magazine. Alex Ungar was recently elected to the board of trustees of Columbia Grammar School, New York. Alex, who lives in Scotch Plains, N. J., is president of Alexander Ungar, Inc., of New Brunswick.

Ossie Falling, I notice with interest, has changed his base of operations from Waltham, Mass., to 116 Norcross St., Manchester, N. H. As of the present I have no information as to what precipitated the move, but it gets him closer to Hanover. Phil Hildreth is Assistant Professor of Biology at Long Beach State College, Long Beach, Calif. Al Lott, whose silence is becoming stonier year by year, works for the Permatex Co. of Huntington, L. I., in the capacity of assistant to the president. Have your secretary drop me a line, Al, and bring me up to date on your doings. Having built the Massachusetts Thruway, Bob Hooker is now back in Medford, Mass. What next, Bob? Gene Pinney seems to be in the thick of things. His present post for the State Department is Vienna.

I received a letter the other day from Class Agent Ellie Mover. This is the time of the year when Class Agents, like groundhogs, rear their heads and look around. There may be six more weeks of winter ahead, but that doesn't mean a thing to that hardy breed. They must be up and running. This letter dealt, of course, with the approaching Fund drive, and Ellie was contacting his assistants. Most of you didn't receive this message, of course, but help is needed. If you can, do!

Andrew P. Carstensen '45 is the new Sales Manager for the Flood Company, Hudson, Ohio, which makes Penetrol, a paint vehicle for rust control and wood conditioning.

Secretary, Middlesex School, Concord, Mass.

Treasurer, R.D. 1, Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon, Ohio
