Rio de Janeiro

On January 16 the new Ambassador to Brazil, Ellis O. Briggs '21, entertained the other members of the Dartmouth Rio de Janeiro Club at a luncheon in the Embassy Residence —Frank Doten '23, Harry Townsend '31 and Dick Momsen '45. For various reasons there has been an exodus of Dartmouth men from Rio de Janeiro in recent years. In 1950 the Club numbered nineteen members; in 1954 the total had been reduced to ten, and now only the above mentioned graduates are in Rio de Janeiro.
