Once again a mistake has been made about Bill Barnet 11. In our last column to DAM we wrote about his being elected to the South Carolina Hall of Fame. It wasn't our classmate Bill, but it was his son, Bill 111 '64. The College sent us a copy of a newspaper article which said that this honor was bestowed upon William Bamet II. We can't fault the College either, as it was the fault of the person who wrote the newspaper article. Anyway, Bill, congratulations for having such a super son.

We hear from John Lyle that Sylvia and Win Watts are still enjoying Florida, that Mary and James Keeley are living in Kendal at Hanover and that Betts Bishop is well in Chapel Hill but spends a good bit of time traveling to visit children and grandchildren. Hard to believe that her son, David (John's one-time intern), has retired from the practice of medicine.

Dr. Michael Sporn, a professor of pharmacology at Dartmouth Medical School and a protege of our classmate, Oscar Cohn, was recently named an eminent scholar by the National Cancer Institute.

For those of you who haven't decided on whether or not you can attend our 70th reunion on the October 8-10 weekend (Yale game), please let Gerry Day know. It should be a wonderful weekend and so enjoyable to be with our classmates whom we haven't seen in years.

With sadness we report the death of our classmate, Tom Hicks, and send our sympathies to his family.
