Dean Joseph L. McDonald gave a very interesting and informative talk at our annual dinner meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Central Pennsylvania at the Hotel Harrisburger on Monday evening, April 1. About 40 alumni, undergraduates, fathers, wives and friends of Dartmouth were present.
Dean McDonald talked informally and brought us up to date on the current Hanover scene. His humor, especially the anecdotes telling us of some of the problems of the dean of a. liberal arts college, kept us in stitches. We all learned a great deal about the college and its present day problems from the serious part of his talk.
One of the guests, John Tivney, who had recently spent some time in Florida with President-Emeritus Hopkins, gave us news of that favorite son of Dartmouth.
During the business portion of the program, the following officers were nominated and unanimously elected:
Burt Proem '49 - President Ken Mac Donald '30 - Vice-President Vic Macomber '46 - Secretary-Treasurer
Secretary, R.D. 3, Mechanicsburg, Penna.
