Prof. Martin L. Lindahl of the Economics Department is the author of The New England Railroads, a report to the New England Governors' Committee on Public Transportation. It is a comprehensive study of the New England railroad system and the problems faced; and on the basis of this study it offers a series of conclusions, policy considerations and recommendations. Professor Lindahl's report was the basis, in turn, for A Railroad Policy for New England, submitted by the Governors' Committee to the New England Governors' Conference.
