Key leaders in the Capital Gifts Campaign that is part of Dartmouth's 200th Anniversary Development Program are these fourteen alumni of the College who are serving as Regional Chairmen. To these regional leaders has been given the all-important responsibility of organizing and directing the campaign activity within their respective areas, under the national chairmanship of Charles J. Zimmerman '23 of Hartford, Conn., a member of the Dartmouth Board of Trustees.

JOHN R. McLANE '07Chairman: Northern New England Mr. McLane is senior partner in the Manchester, N. H., law firm of McLane, Carleton, Graf, Greene and Brown. A Trustee of the College from 1926 to 1956, he is a former member of the Alumni Council.

F. WILLIAM ANDRES '29 Chairman: Boston Mr. Andres is a partner in the Boston law firm of Sherburne, Powers and Needham. He is a former member of the Alumni Council and is now class chairman for 1929 after serving many years as class secretary.

HARRY H. SEMMES '13 Chairman: Mid-Atlantic States Brigadier General Semmes (retired) is an attorney in Washington, D. C. He served with the Army tank forces in World Wars I and II, and is the author of Portrait of Patton, a biography of his late commanding general.

CHARLES M. FRENCH '24 Co-Chairman: Pittsburgh, Cleveland,Detroit Mr. French, a former member of the Alumni Council, is president of the Great Lakes Box Company in Cleveland. He is a past president of the Dartmouth Club of Cleveland.

LEE A. CHILCOTE '30Go-Chairman: Pittsburgh, Cleveland,Detroit Mr. Chilcote, now serving his second term as a member of the Alumni Council, is president and treasurer of The Chilcote Company in Cleveland.

RALPH L. RICKENBAUGH '28 Chairman: Denver Mr. Rickenbaugh is president of the Rickenbaugh Cadillac Company in Denver. He is a member of the Alumni Council and last year was vice president of the General Alumni Association.

LEWIS J. MOORMAN JR. '38 Chairman: Southwest States Mr. Moorman, of San Antonio, is a partner in the Slick-Urschel and Slick-Moorman Oil Companies of Texas. Formerly with the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, since 1946 he has engaged in the oil business, ranching and operation of Slick Airways, Inc.

JOHN H. HINMAN '08 Co-Chairman: New York Mr. Hinman, of Pelham, N. Y., is former president and now board chairman of the International Paper Company. He received Dartmouth's honorary LL.D. degree last June and an Alumni Award in September.

ORVIL E. DRYFOOS '34 Co-Chairman: New York Mr. Dryfoos is president of The New York Times Company and of several of its subsidiaries. He is a Trustee of the College and was a member of the Alumni Council when elected to the Board.

ORTON H. HICKS '21 Vice-Chairman: New York Mr. Hicks is a director of Loew's International Corporation, for which he is chief of 16 mm. operations and has also been director of research. He is past president of the Alumni Council and is an Overseer of Tuck School.

HENRY S. EMBREE '30Chairman: Chicago Mr. Embree is president of the Citrus Products Company, Chicago. A former member of the Alumni Council, he has been an officer of the Chicago Alumni Association and also 1930's treasurer and memorial fund chairman.

THOMAS K. GEDGE '25 Chairman: Southeast States Mr. Gedge lives in Orlando, Florida, where he has retired after a successful career in advertising in New York, Chicago and Florida. He has also engaged in the citrus business in Florida.

DeWALT ANKENY '21 Chairman: Prairie States Mr. Ankeny is vice president and treasurer of the Theodore Hamm Brewing Company, St. Paul, Minn. He is a member of the Alumni Council and a Dartmouth leader in the Twin Cities.

PRESTON H. KELSEY '25 Chairman: Pacific Coast Mr. Kelsey is vice-chairman of the board of Marsh and McLennan, insurance brokerage firm, and is in charge of its West Coast operations, with headquarters in San Francisco. He has been active in class affairs and formerly served as 1925's head agent.
