The Cleveland Club was delighted by a visit from our President, John Sloan Dickey, at the local kickoff dinner for the College's capital gifts campaign, held at the Union Club. We were honored to hear that Cleveland was the first stop in his itinerary of some seventy cities in which President Dickey will personally present the Dartmouth Story.

A film called "The Dartmouth College Case" was previewed and the consensus was that it was excellent from ideas to mechanics and editing - a wonderful presentation. President Dickey, looking taller, leaner, younger and more vigorous than ever, spoke on the purposes of the capital gifts campaign. His talk got our local drive off to a rousing start and President Dickey received a standing ovation at its completion.

The Club is looking forward to the visit of the Dartmouth Glee Club on Saturday, April 5. There will be a concert and an informal dance in the Grand Ballroom of the Statler Hotel and the Committee indicates that the event is already a near sellout.
