Dartmouth's representatives on the board of governors of the new Ivy League Club of Sarasota, Fla., are Edward Fenton '36 and James Bonnyman '38, who is serving as chairman of the membership committee. Since its organization last September, the Club has held over a dozen luncheon meetings, one of which featured a private-wire radiocast of the Dartmouth-Princeton football game. Author Dick Glendinning '40 was the speaker on February 4.
Ivy League luncheons are held the first and third Tuesday of each month at Holiday House, Sarasota. All Dartmouth men living or visiting in the area are invited. The combined club has no intention of supplanting the individual alumni groups, who have their own programs, but it is believed that an effective Ivy League group, representing the position of the privately endowed colleges, can meet a need in the educational and cultural climate of the community.
